Device Verification System Imposed By PTA | How To Verify You GSM Device???

PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) has announced to verify each and every GSM device before 20th of October. Otherwise any device not verified by PTA will not work 20th onward.  So every person using mobile phone or any GSM device needs to verify his/her device through PTA.  There are three (3) simple ways to verify any mobile’s IMEI number.

Please follow the steps below for verification of IMEI number.
Step 1. Dial *#06# to find your device’s IMEI number.
Step 2.  Verify your device using any of the following method

i. Send your IMEI number on 8484
ii. Install app to verify your device (Play Store)
iii. Verify through website. Click here

What you will Get?

You can receive one of the three responses.

  1.  IMEI Compliant : Which means your device is completely compliant and registered in PTA and GSMA, so you have nothing to worry about. Just chill 🙂
  2.  Valid IMEI : This means that your device has valid IMEI number and registered with GSMA but not with PTA, so you need to contact PTA and get it registered.
  3.  Invalid IMEI: Which means your device is neither registered with GSMA nor PTA. So this device is tempered and will not work after 20th October.
